The Producer’s Vision
Glenn Towery has visualized a concept of production that is geared toward creating an unforgettable motion picture by minimizing expenditures and maximizing quality and investor return.
The budget for production of the genre of Space Fantasy films has risen into the hundreds of millions of dollars. This has been primarily because of the high cost of Computer Graphic (CG) effects needed to make these films visually more stunning.
Glenn’s approach brings relief to the budget by incorporating the best of the “old-school” in-camera and sound stage effects. These techniques were utilized before CG proliferated the film industry. Glenn’s intent is to implement the more expensive digital elements when necessary to enhance the quality of the film.
“Our allegiance is not only to bring the audience a fantastic film, but it is also to our investors by utilizing the budget efficiently whenever possible to maximize a profitable return.”
– Glenn Towery
Development Budget
The development involved in a project like “Starfunk and the Astral Pioneers” could be costly and extensive, but not necessarily. As such, it is important that the development stage is carried out explicitly.
The initial developmental budget range is proposed at $750,000 to $1.2 million dollars, but is subject to change based on the demands of the project. During this phase, the foundation from which “Starfunk and the Astral Pioneers” will be produced will be formed. Budgets will be fine tuned.
Designers will be put to work under the guidance of an Art Director. Costumes will be designed and the look for all of the characters in the film will be developed. The planets and spacecraft, such as the United League of Galaxies fleet and Reflection, the musically powered spacecraft, weapons, uniforms, instruments, and all other devices must be designed to create this story. All of the designs will have to be approved and trademarked for possible product placement, merchandising and manufacturing.
The script will undergo further analyses and fine tuning with the writer and his select team of writers. The music, the centerpiece of this film, will be written and approved for production by the writers and the composers collaborating to benefit the story. Music production must be completed before filming because in many instances playback of the music will be needed during the Pre-Production (rehearsals) and production phase of “Starfunk and the Astral Pioneers”. When the developmental stage is completed, the stage will be set for the Pre-Production phase.
BUDGETARY CONCEPT

Performers, key personnel, visual effects and other items that range in the millions of dollars to acquire their expertise, talent and eventual commitment to participate.
These costs can only be determined by experienced producers and department heads who have evaluated the final production script. In the beginning stages of most productions, cost factors remain very speculative.
It is possible that the music element in a production such as “Starfunk and the Astral Pioneers” could be financed in part, or in whole by a music entity who covets that phase and who possess expertise in the area of motion picture soundtrack production. It could also fall upon the production company to do all of these elements in-house. Fairy God Brother Productions & Film Company will strive to determine the best course of action in all areas of the production that will guarantee a great film at minimal costs.
Based on Glenn Towery’s vision and the script, the projected costs for production of “Starfunk and the Astral Pioneers” is set at about $20 – $30 million dollars. This figure will be modified based on the actual outcome of the line budget for the film which cannot be determined until the script has been fully broken down.
